Group Therapy


Men’s Early Recovery Group

Tuesdays 10:30-11:30 am

This group focuses on issues of early recovery. The group discussion is facilitated by a counselor who encourages peer support through challenges and celebrations of early recovery.


Men’s General Recovery Group

Wednesday 5:00-6:00 pm

This group is a psycho-educational men’s discussion group where men at various stages of recovery can discover common themes among their experiences and support one another.


Women’s Relapse Prevention and PTSD Group

Thursdays 4:00-5:00 pm

This women’s recovery group addresses both PTSD and recovery from substance abuse. Participants provide peer-support, benefit from clinical guidance, and engage in expressive therapy to support an integrated healing process.


Mindfulness Group

Men's Sessions Wed. 10:30-11:30 am -- Women's Sessions Tues. 2:00-3:00 pm

Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment. Mindfulness practices, coupled with relaxation techniques, can reduce distress related to stress and overwhelming life experiences, and improve overall well-being. If you find yourself wanting to learn ways to cope with day to day stress and emotions, this group may be for you. It is a co-ed, drop-in style group that meets for one hour every Wednesday. 


Anger Management Classes

Men's Sessions Mon. 4:30-5:30 pm -- Women's Sessions Wed. 4:00-5:00 pm

Anger management classes meet one hour per week for six weeks, are facilitated by experienced counselors, and focus on: understanding anger, defining healthy vs. unhealthy anger, identifying personal anger triggers, and learning healthy alternatives for coping with anger and other emotions. Documentation of course completion can be provided upon request. Next course dates TBD.


Medication-Assisted Treatment Group

Tuesdays 5-6PM

The purpose of this drop-in group is to provide on-going support to those utilizing medication-assisted treatment options such as suboxone, vivitrol, and methadone. Groups will address relapse prevention, healthy coping skill development, and motivation.
